Heather Wyatt, Foster Home Coordinator

Heather Wyatt, Foster Home Coordinator

Heather was born in Florida and it is always in her heart. She has a small farm with two rescue pigs, seven chickens, five guineas, a pygmy goat, and a mini cow in her future. She is open to a mini horse too! Her favorite Two by Two Rescue stories include Bo, her Rottweiler and of course Mr. Grumplestein. Lefty is another that has her heart and there’s Ruthie and her amazing story. Heather says she could survive on Gummy Bears and Coke and be perfectly happy.

Heather wants you to know: I love to garden and just be outdoors. When weather is nice, our back deck is our favorite hangout. We love to grill out, have a bon-fire and chill with friends and family!

From Sonya’s heart: Heather’s priceless contribution to the rescue is her heart of prayer; she prays for the volunteers, fosters, and dogs. Heather has a beautiful hand-in-hand relationship with the Lord. I know a secret about Heather and it is that she and Chris are true lovebirds and his feathers are not ruffled by her running out of gas, backing into a tree, or side-swiping a building in her rescue vehicle! Heather is a recovering Coke-a-holic. Heather was chosen by God to have the world’s thickest and longest eyelashes!

Her favorite color ever is pink. She loves spending time with her kids. Her favorite food is birthday cake, with LOTS OF ICING!!!

From Sonya’s heart: Kellie’s purity of heart inspires me. When I am in her presence I feel like I’m in the presence of an earthly angel. She generously uses her love and gift of numbers to bless us and God’s creatures. The secret I know about Kellie is that she is so passionate about pink she has a pink broom, tool box, and stapler.

Brenda was born in Alabama and calls Springville home. She loves outdoor activities and taking care of her grandchildren. Her favorite Two by Two rescue was her Missi, saved after Hurricane Katrina. Her favorite food is chocolate and peanut butter anything!

From Sonya’s heart: Brenda is one of the original Two by Two volunteers meaning she has served the rescue for over a decade! She is technologically gifted and great about using those skills for the rescue. Brenda is a Pawtographer with the perfect charm (and collection of props) to get all our rescues to look their cutest for their photos.  The secret I know about Brenda and her husband is that they invite musicians from all over the south to their home for a cookout and jam session each year.

Once they arrived in Homewood, Alabama it immediately felt like home! She is a proud mom, wife and grandma. Her first foster, Jack, became their first foster failure (or rather a win!) with two more and counting after him. Desiree says the moment she began volunteering with Two By Two she quickly realized she needed to be a part of their family and the work they do!
